Our Team

We thank God for His ministry in Albion and that we can join in. Our Team has come from areas surrounding the Albion area to be an encouragement and light for Jesus in this city.

Our team members have a God led testimony of how they were called to minister in Albion

Pastor Mike Outten

Pastor Mike Outten

Mike is a native of Western New York and grew up in the Clarence NY area. He married the love of his life (Barb McCollum) in Gasport NY. Mike has grown up in the business world first as a bricklayer turned general contractor, and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start other businesses over the years. Mike has felt God leading him to plant a church since 2011, but the location of where to plant was unclear until God directed his path to Albion NY where he has been ministering with his family since August 2015.

Mike is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and preaches and teaches God’s Word with all his heart and soul for the glory of God. His desire is to be deeply involved with the community of Albion and see it change into a place where love always wins and hope is realized. A place where families can grow and experience community together.

Mike and Barb have 6 children; Jessica 31, Adam 25, Abram 23, Timothy 20, Sarah 15, and Melissa 10. They also have 6 grandchildren. Mike and Barb love families of any size and stress that family is where our hope is lived out day by day as we serve Jesus in the home and church, because Jesus Christ is the only hope for our families.

Elder Albert Alexander

Al and Sarah have been married since 2002 and have seven children.  Al is originally from Buffalo NY and they currently live in Sarah’s hometown of Barker New York. They run a heavy equipment parts business out of Newfane.

The Alexanders love children and have worked with youth for 20 years.  They began as children themselves and have good memories, so that they can use their experiences and godly wisdom to guide the youth to not act like Al did as a teen, but instead follow the right path. Sarah sings with the North Point worship team and has been blessed to be involved with music for most of her life while Al runs the worship service presentation on the computer cause he can’t sing without making people cringe.

They were called by God in 2015 to join the North Point church plant with a willing heart to help the families of Albion know the Love of Christ.  Bottom line is they are average sinners serving an awesome God. (The average comes from Al being a really big sinner and Sarah being a below average sinner…Al is very blessed to have married well).

Elder: Jim Baker

Jim has lived in Western New York all of his life and is now currently living in Holley for the past 20 years. Jim works for Rochester General Hospital as a Cardiac Sonographer. Jim has 4 children who have all come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I wasn’t born in a Christian home nor did I grow up believing in God. At a young age, I started abusing drugs and alcohol that lasted into my late 20’s. I was trying to fill a void in my life that only God could fill. On November 6, 1988, the Lord grabbed ahold of my stony heart and gave me a heart of flesh.

When Jesus healed the blind man in John’s Gospel chapter 9, the Pharisees asked him who healed him. His response was “one thing I do know, that I was blind, now I see” vs 25. God took the scales of my eyes and I was able to see. He gave me a knew heart and I was a new creation in him because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. This is why we are commissioned to share Jesus with others.

When God chose me, He gave me a desire to study His Word, to share and to teach. This is only possible because of Him. I had no desire to read or learn when I was in high school, but now I love to study His Word. I have an associate in Biblical studies and I am currently working on my bachelor’s in theology through North Central Theological Seminary. In the past I have worked with youth and was an associate pastor at New Hope Christian Fellowship and now the Lord has brought me to North Point Chapel and the Albion community.

My prayer is that God’s Word would sound forth in this community and the surrounding areas. I see the love of Christ and the encouragement of the body here at North Point Chapel and am thankful to be a part of it. I am a sinner saved by grace!

Children’s Director: Jennifer Mateo

Jennifer has lived in Western New York all of her life and now lives in Albion with her husband Eric and their 4 wonderful children.

You may have seen her around Albion for she has been a resident for over 10 years. Jennifer works here in town at Path Stone where she is able help people with various things that our company offers. Jen also volunteers weekly in the Albion elementary school; which she finds to be a complete joy. Jen loves supporting the community in many different ways. One way is by attending many of the events here in town with my family and connecting friends and neighbors throughout each year.

I grew up in church and was saved at a young age. I believe it is because of this that I have such a strong passion for serving Jesus and helping others.

Jennifer’s true love is working with children, to show them Jesus’s unconditional love. Her prayer is for every child to know that no matter their situation, they are never alone, Jesus is with them, and because God has given us His Spirit, even children can be disciples for Him. Because of Jesus, these children and young adults are able to live, love and spread the Word of the Lord.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Jen believes it is our call on life to help children grow up in the Lord.

Our Partners

Ridgewood Bible Church

Ridgewood Bible Church has been very instrumental in the foundational principles in which we have built North Point Chapel. We are thankful for their gracious generosity.

High Point Community Bible

High Point Community Bible has been a very gracious supporter of our work in Albion, and was the inspiration of reaching this community for Christ.

Life Point Chapel – Liberia

Life Point Chapel is our first mission/partner to be supported by North Point Chapel. We are truly excited to partner and work together with this WOL ministry in the African continent. Liberia is a country that is in great need of the Gospel and it is our great privilege to work with missionaries Dave and Lucy Kiamu.

Care Net of Albion

Care Net of Albion was one of our first connections when starting our church here in Albion. We love what they stand for and it is our wonderful privilege to partner with them as they reach out to expectant moms and give services such as ultrasound and parenting classes.

NAMB

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

– Hebrews 10:23-25
